Garland Perry of West Liberty, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 82 years and 8 days. He was born Thursday, March 9, 1939, at Pomp, KY, son of the late Woodrow & Fannie Dyer Perry.
Garland was united in marriage to Linda Murray. He served his country in the US Navy from 1960 – 1964 and was also a retired carpenter. He was a Christian and a member of the West Liberty Christian Church. Garland will be remembered as a loving husband, step father, step grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend; he will be missed by all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow & Fannie Perry; one sister, Janice Perry Goehring; and one brother, Woodford Perry.
Garland is survived by his loving wife, Linda Murray Perry; one sister, Sandra & Lee Armstrong of West Liberty, KY; one step daughter, Margaret & Jerry Page of Corydon, IN; two step grandchildren, Kristen & Reed McIntosh and Melody Page all of Louisville, KY; nieces and nephew, Krista & Rick Drybrough of Louisville, KY, Duane & Lori Perry of Raymond, WA, and Tiana & Vincent Traudt of Haines, AK; one sister-in-law, Frankie Adams Perry of Haines, AK; and his beloved pets, Lucy & Samson.
Memorial service, 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the West Liberty Christian Church, with Bro. Darris Hammons & Bro. Hunter Fraley officiating and Morgan County DAV to conduct Military Services. Visitation from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. at the church. Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
