Garland Holbrook of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at his residence, at the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 21 days. He was born Monday, December 18, 1950, at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Dennie Elwood & Dixie Kathleen Keaton Holbrook.
Garland was united in marriage to Sharon Eda Whitt. This union was blessed with twin boys, Keith & Kenneth. Garland was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a Christian and was a member of the Martha Enterprise Baptist Church and also attended the Wrigley Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and brother-in-law; he will be missed by all of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Elwood Holbrook; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bernie & Viola Frisby Whitt; one brother-in-law, Danny Bradley; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Eldridge.
Garland is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Holbrook; one son & daughter-in-law, Keith & Allison Holbrook of West Liberty, KY; two grandchildren, Byron Holbrook and Andrea Holbrook both of West Liberty, KY; his brothers & sisters, Linda Bradley, Darrell & Machelle Holbrook, Gregory & Shelia Holbrook all of West Liberty, KY, Garnetta & Doug Wireman of Paintsville, KY, Felisia & Chris Haueter of Louisville, KY, and Mark & Angela Holbrook of Lexington, KY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Yeary, Totsy Evans, Roxie Johnston, Bernie Whitt, Beverly Little, Deborah Gray, Shamel Whitt, Dottie Johnston, David Whitt, Jennifer Young, Darlene Winstead, Sarah Woolums, and Connie Patton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Sloas & Bro. Paul Keeton officiating. Burial to follow in the A.L. Whitt Cemetery, Redwine, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Dale Cantrell, Cassie Cantrell, Paris Jr. “P.J.” Cantrell, Joey Little, Isaiah Holbrook, and Bryce Holbrook.
