Frank Perry Day

Frank Perry Day of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the West Liberty Nursing and Rehab Center, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 15 days. He was born Sunday, December 6, 1931, at Dehart, KY, son of the late Roy Cletis & Lula Rowland Day.

He was united in marriage to Wilma Jean Lewis on June 4, 1966. He volunteered at the age of 17 to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1948 – 1952 during the Korean War where he served two tours in Korea and one in combat.  He spent most of his working life doing road construction in California.  After returning to Kentucky, he worked for Juett Construction on building I-64, for Morgan Tire Center, and Hutchinson's Furniture Store.  He was also member of Highland Masonic Lodge #311. He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, and uncle. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Roy Cletis & Lula Day, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Juanita Johnson and husband Glen, Oleta Engle and husband C.B., Leanna England and husband John, and Virginia Caminer and husband Jerry; and two brothers, Kermit Day and wife Emma and John Cortis Day.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Wilma Jean Lewis Day; step son, Billy Ray Lewis and wife Brenda, West Liberty, KY; one brother, Cletis Day of Overton, Nevada; one sister-in-law, Ruth Day of Visalia, California; and nieces and nephews, Janice Hall & Paul, Judy Anderson & Dave, Greg England & Angie, Lisa Rector & Jimmy, Frankie Adkins & Jeff, Kenny Day & Karen, Robin Fulmer & Garren, and Eric Day; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

He will be buried at West Liberty Memorial Gardens with military services at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021 conducted by Morgan County DAV.
