Frank Allen

Frank Allen of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at St. Joseph East, Lexington, KY, at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 8 days.  He was born Friday, April 10, 1936 at Hardburly, KY, in Perry County, son of the late Homer & Lula Jones Allen.

Frank was united in marriage to Mildred Smith.  This union was blessed with one son, Eric.  He was a retired Electrician.  He was a Christian and a member of the Broadway First Church of God and was also a member of the Elkfork Masonic Lodge #755.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Channing Allen; and seven brothers, Lockford Allen, Merle Allen, Robert Cotton Allen, Palmer Allen, Manuel Allen, Finley Allen, and Daniel Allen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Smith Allen; one son & daughter-in-law, Eric & Pam Allen of Woodsbend, KY; one grandson, Kaelin Andrew Allen of Morehead, KY; one step grandson, William Michael Holbrook, II of Verona, WI; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Frisby, Bro. Karl Elam, and Bro. Kenneth Gevedon officiating.  Burial to follow in the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Lick, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Masonic Services to be conducted at 7 p.m. by the Elkfork Masonic Lodge #755.

Pallbearers:  Mark Johnson, Todd Reed, Zachary Engle, Chad Wells, Chandler Horn, Mike Horn, and Bruce Carter.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Kaelin Andrew Allen and William Michael Holbrook, II.
