Evyn Earl Patrick

Evyn Earl Patrick of West Liberty, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at his residence, at the age of 88 years, 8 months, & 10 days.  He was born Monday, May 11, 1936 at Wrigley, KY, son of Gardner & Allie Maye Lewis Patrick.

Evyn Earl was united in marriage to his first wife, Jewel Rose Cox.  This union was blessed with three daughters, Brenda, Debra, & Janet Rose.  After Jewel’s death, he later married Shirley Rigsby Easterling.  Evyn Earl was self-employed as farmer and logger.  He was also a volunteer firefighter #313 for the 519 Volunteer Fire Department.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, and brother.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gardner & Allie Maye Patrick; his first wife, Jewel Rose Patrick; one daughter, Janet Rose Bird; one son-in-law, George R. Ford; and his sister, Letha Nell Patrick Sheets.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Rigsby Easterling Patrick; two daughters, Brenda Patrick Ford of Whitesville, KY and Debra Patrick Ratliff (Kevin) of West Liberty, KY; two step children, Anna Sexton (Lyss) and Bobby Easterling all of West Liberty, KY; six grandchildren, Brian Patrick Terry (Stacy), Evyian Terry (Robyn), Kevin Thorton Terry (Misty), Shawn Alan Ratliff (Wendy), Zachary Earl Wathen, and Jessica Marie Wood (Kyle); eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; one brother, Drexel Patrick (Trena) of West Liberty, KY; and a special niece & nephew, Jennifer Sheets and David Patrick (Joan).

Funeral service, 1 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Phillip Ferguson, Kevin Ratliff, Jennifer Sheets, Kevin Terry, and David Patrick officiating.  Burial to follow in the W.H. Lewis Cemetery, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday January 25, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers:  Brian Terry, Evyian Terry, Kevin Terry, Shawn Ratliff, Kyle Wood, Noah Crider, Carter Terry, Lyss Sexton, Austin Terry, & Ray Terry.
