Evalee Wages Stacy of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Wolfe County Health Care Center, Campton, KY, at the age of 88 years, 5 months, 23 days. She was born Monday, August 14, 1933, at Johnson Fork, KY, daughter of the late William Harrison & Mariah Ann Burton Wages.
Evalee was united in marriage to Homer Chelsey Stacy on May 15, 1954. This union was blessed with nine children. Evalee was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a Christian and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Homer Chelsey Stacy; four brothers, Greenberry Wages, Marvin Wages, Herbert Wages, and Earlie Wages; three sisters, Flossie Brandt, & infant sisters, Imogene Wages & Laura Wages; one grandson, Joshua Stacy; and two great grandsons, Tyler Roberts and Aaron Faris.
Evalee is survived by her nine children, Vernon Randolph Stacy of Springfield, OH, Earlie Wayne Stacy (Judy) of Campton, KY, Veldon Ray Stacy (Nina) of Stacy Fork, KY, Rhonda Sue Hatton (Donnie Phillips) of West Liberty, KY, Mariah Francis Lacy (Perry) of Stacy Fork, KY, William Burton Stacy (Stacie) of Stacy Fork, KY, Martha Elaine Cantrell (Randy) of West Liberty, KY, Ronald David Stacy of Georgetown, KY, and Melvin Dean Stacy (Deborah) of Stacy Fork, KY; twenty grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Lena Perry of Covington, KY & Ann Burton of Greenville, OH; one brother-in-law, Terry Stacy of Stacy Fork, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Potter Funeral Home, with Elder Rick Holbrook & Bro. Earlie Stacy officiating. Burial to follow in the Oliver Haney Cemetery, Stacy Fork, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the funeral home.
