Emogene Ferguson

Emogene Ferguson of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Wolfe County Health Care Center, Campton, KY, at the age of 89 years and 17 days.  She was born Tuesday, October 27, 1936, at Relief, KY, daughter of Lonnie Franklin Ferguson & Mertie Melissa Blanton Ferguson.

Emogene was a former caretaker, helping care for the elderly and children.                

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie & Mertie Ferguson; two brothers, James Ferguson & Manford Ferguson; and two sisters, Geneva Hamilton and Mary Mandy Lewis.

Emogene is survived by three children, Jocelyn Bolin (Billy) of West Liberty, Jeff Montgomery (Linnie) of Hazel Green, and Phillip Montgomery (Rebecca) of Morehead; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Charley Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson, & Raymond Fergsuon; and one sister, Ethel Castle.

Emogene will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Danny Price, Bro. Chuck Conley, & Bro. Charles Wright officiating.  Burial to follow in the Chester Bolin Cemetery, Coffee Creek Road, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers:  Clay Adkins, Cole Adkins, Josh Montgomery, Patrick Montgomery, Cody Caudill, Brandon Evans, and Austin Wright.
