Ella Mae Gullett Nickell of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at her residence, at the age of 83 years, 7 months, & 24 days. She was born Thursday, November 27, 1941, at Cisco, KY, daughter of Wade & Minnie Jenkins Gullett.
Ella Mae was united in marriage to Darrell Nickell. This union was blessed with two sons, Dwayne & Randy. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family. She was a devoted Christian and was baptized on February 24, 1974. She was a member of the Elkfork Primitive Baptist Church.
Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Wade & Minnie Gullett; her loving husband, Darrell Nickell; and a host of brothers & sisters.
She is survived by her two sons, Dwayne Nickell (Amy) of Somerset, KY and Randy Nickell of West Liberty, KY; four grandchildren, Randa Williams (Jason), Shelbi Williams (Larry) all of West Liberty, KY, Jonathan Nickell (Kaylee) of Somerset, KY, and Charity York (Cody) of Wilmore, KY; four great grandchildren, Devan Williams, Bentley Williams, Maddison Nickell, and Maverick Nickell; one sister, Lexie Francis of Salyersville, KY; one brother, Roby Gullett (Rose) of Salyersville, KY; sisters-in-law, Sue Gullett, Josephine Gullett, Dema Miller, and Barbara Nickell; and a host of nieces & nephews.
Ella Mae will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service, 11 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the Elkfork Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Rick Howard, Elder Dan Ison, and Elder John Howard officiating. Burial to follow in the Kennard Cemetery, Logville, KY. Visitation 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the Elkfork Primitive Baptist Church.
Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
