Elba Goodpaster Jr.

Elba Goodpaster, Jr., of Morgan County, KY, born to Elba and Lillian Goodpaster on August 31, 1958 passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Morgan County A.R.H., West Liberty, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elba Goodpaster and Lillian Mays Goodpaster, his brothers, Bobby Joe Goodpaster, Manford Paul Goodpaster, and David Ray Goodpaster. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Christina Goodpaster; two sons, Travis Ray Goodpaster (Randi Braaksma), Nicholas Shawn Goodpaster; his grandchildren, Alexander Goodpaster, Dylan Goodpaster, Cody Adkins, Jessie Goodpaster; three great grandchildren, Liam Goodpaster, Genesis Goodpaster, and Serenity Goodpaster; three brothers, Leonard Thomas Goodpaster, Danny Lee Goodpaster, Jerry Allen Goodpaster, and two sisters, Glenda Chaney and Janie Fugate, and many friends.

Elba Jr. worked and retired from Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex, but was a farmer at heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his favorite sports team, Kentucky Wildcats. He will be sadly missed.

Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Goodpaster Cemetery, Hwy 705, West Liberty, KY. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: James Allen Goodpaster (Nephew) Glendon Paul Goodpaster (nephew), Terry Williams, Ray Cassity, Chris Peyton, and Cody Adkins.
