Edith Lenora Gevedon of Grassy Creek, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, & 13 days. She was born Sunday, December 24, 1939, in Frenchburg, KY, daughter of Jack & Bonnie Ledford Perry.
Lenora was united in marriage to Glenn Gevedon. This union was blessed with three daughters, Jeanna, Sheri, and Lee Ann. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family. She was a Christian and member of the West Liberty Christian Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, & sister, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Bonnie Perry; her husband, Glenn Gevedon; and one sister & two brothers.
Lenora is survived by her three daughters, Jeanna Hans (Charles), Sheri Gevedon Howard all of Grassy Creek, KY and Lee Ann McKenzie (Stephen) of Richmond, KY; six grandchildren, Nicole Daniels (Justin), Patrick McKenzie, Zachary Hance (Christin), Emily Fyffe (Mikie), Jared Hance (Ashley), and Connor McKenzie (Jamie); three great grandchildren, Bruce Daniels, Trey Fyffe, and Benjamin Fyffe; one brother & one sister, B. J. Perry (Sue) and Marlene Howard (Jack); and two sisters-in-law, Mary Perry and Brenda Jones.
Memorial service, 1 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Hunter Fraley officiating. Visitation 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home.
