Eddie Dale Davis of Adele, KY, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at his residence, at the age of 60 years, 10 months, & 27 days. He was born Friday, July 17, 1964, in West Liberty, KY, son of Rexford & Betty Wireman Davis.
Eddie lived his life devoted to his family. He grew up in Wheelrim on the land owned by his family since the 1800’s. He traipsed the same hills and valleys his father did when he was a child, spending days exploring and seeking childhood adventures.
Eddie’s greatest joy was spending time with his son and his family. He was especially devoted to his grandson and granddaughter, Jaxon and Danielle. He helped care for his only sister, that he loved dearly. Through the years, he worked for an auctioneer company, drove a school bus, and also drove a concrete truck. Driving was a passion for him, not a chore. Eddie particularly enjoyed the car races, and competed many times at the Clay City Dragstrip, bringing home many trophies. He had no fear of speed, and was always willing to accept a challenge to see who had the greater engine. Those that truly knew Eddie, knew he loved Mustangs, a passion he held lifelong and collected several through the years.
Eddie was currently a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Morgan County Transfer Station. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and great uncle and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rexford & Betty Davis; paternal grandparents, Hiram & Daught Crase Davis; maternal grandparents, Bradley & Mary Howard Wireman; and one nephew, Andrew Davis.
Eddie is survived by his son, Jacob Dale Davis (Jodi) of Campton, KY; two grandchildren, Danielle LeeAnn Marie Davis and Jaxon Dale Davis; special sister, Stella Ann Davis Johnson of Adele, KY; two brothers, Douglas Davis (Gail) of West Liberty, KY and Dwayne Davis of Adele, KY; one nephew, Claude Michael Johnson (Alexandria) of Blaze, KY; one niece, Jennifer Caskey (Chris) of West Liberty, KY; two great nieces and one great nephew, Andrea Caskey, Alexis Johnson, and Xander Michael Johnson; and his special canine companion, Mayo.
