Douglas Robert Hennig

Douglas Robert Hennig of West Liberty, KY, passed away, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 15 days.  He was born Friday, February 8, 1946, in Cleveland, OH, son of the late Fred & Margaret Donzy Hennig.

He was united in marriage to Helen Collinsworth.  Before retirement, he worked in College Admissions as a Financial Aid Officer.  He was a Christian and a member of the 13th Street Baptist Church in Ashland, KY.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Margaret Hennig.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Collinsworth Hennig; five children, Leslie Mikula (Mark) of Traverse City, MI, Rachel Cote (William) of Havelock, NC, Veronica Chimenz of Athens, OH, Gail Chimenz of Columbus, OH, and Leon Chimenz (Gabriella) of Manassas, VA; seven grandchildren, Jack & Ava Mikula, Arianna & Matthew Cote, Leah, Roy, and Alex Chimenz, ; one brother, Donald Hennig (Ila) of Chillicothe, OH; and a nephew and niece, Christopher Hennig and Lindsay Priest.
