Donna Lynne (Simmons) Lacy

 Donna Lynne (Simmons) Lacy of Cannel City, Kentucky passed from this life on April 25, 2023.

Born to Ray and Etsye Simmons in 1945, Donna was the "big sister" to four brothers - David, Eddie, Randy and Mark. The Simmons family resided in Falmouth, Kentucky for most of Donna's early childhood. After moving to West Liberty, Kentucky, Donna graduated from Morgan County High School and, most importantly, met Bill Frank Lacy who was the instant love of her life and who became her constant friend and devoted husband of sixty years. Together, and with unlimited love, patience, wisdom and laughter, Donna and Bill raised a large happy family of five children (Margi, Michelle, Marissa, Chris and Mary Beth), four grandchildren (Lacy, Parker, Michael and Stephen) and one great-grandchild (Aria).

Donna loved God above all things. Throughout her life, she honored and served her church, her husband, her children, her family, her friends and her community.

Visitation for the public will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Saturday, April 29 at Potter Funeral Home in West Liberty, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 30 at Faith Baptist Church, 7557 KY 191, West Liberty, Kentucky with Pastor Tim Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Whitaker Cemetery, Stacy Fork, KY.

Pallbearers: Parker May, Michael Lacy, Stephen Lacy, William May, Keith Kidd & Paul Winandy.

Memorials can be made to Faith Baptist Church.
