Debra (Havens) Smith

Debra Havens Smith of Mize, KY, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY, at the age of 60 years, 11 months, 20 days. She was born Friday, February 24, 1961, at West Liberty, KY, daughter of the late John Frank Havens, Jr. & Everene McGuire Havens.

Debra was united in marriage to Ronald Smith. She was a retired Correctional Officer at the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex in West Liberty. She loved her family and her grandchildren were her life.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Timothy Havens, Michael Brent Havens, Peggy Havens Ratliff, and Richard Havens.

Debra is survived by her husband, Ronald Smith; two children, Christopher Wayne Bailey of Grassy Creek, KY and Amanda Hope Larrison (Bryan) of Mt. Sterling, KY; five grandchildren, Sam Mazzie, Garrett Mazzie, Curtis Mazzie, Benjamin Larrison, and Alex Larrison; four brothers and four sisters, Marie Dillavou (Gary), Kathy Rice (David), Danny Havens (Becky), Larry Havens, Betty Peyton (Hank), Johnny Ray Havens, Kimberly Gillespie (Willie), and Mark Havens (Kimberly); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Frisby officiating. Burial to follow in the Oliver Haney Cemetery, Stacy Fork, KY. Visitation 12 - 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Sam Mazzie, Garrett Mazzie, Curtis Mazzie, Mike Perkins, Johnny Havens, and Bryan Larrison.
