Deborah Sue (Fannin) Burchett

Deborah Sue Burchett of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at her residence, at the age of 59 years, 2 months, and 2 days. She was born Thursday, April 25, 1963, at West Liberty, KY, daughter of the late Walter Berman & Addie Myrtle Burks Fannin.

Deborah was united in marriage to Roger Burchett, Jr. This union was blessed with a daughter, Anita Beth. Deborah was an elementary school teacher, where she taught 2nd and 3rd grade at East Valley Elementary, and most recently was the RTI Interventionist at East Valley Elementary. She was a Christian and a member of the Martha Enterprise Baptist Church. Deborah loved her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Walter and Myrtle Fannin, she was preceded in death by one brother, Freddie Fannin; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger Burchett, Sr. & Gracie Burchett.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Roger Burchett, Jr.; her daughter, Anita Beth Laney (Lonnie) of Ashland, KY; two grandchildren, Hannah Elisabeth Laney and Emma Grace Laney; two sisters, Brenda Payne (Randy) and Patty Gibson (John) all of West Liberty, KY; one brother, Terry Fannin (Sherry) of West Liberty, KY; and nieces and nephews, Nick Payne, Tommy Payne, Kayla Prater, John Michael Gibson, T.J. Payne, Akyla Fannin, Gavin Payne, and Emmalyn Prater; a special cousin, Larry Joe Abrams (Gladys) of Carlisle, KY; and her little fur baby, Lucy.

Funeral service 11 a.m., Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Lonnie Laney and Bro. Cortis Ison officiating. Burial to follow in the Fannin Cemetery, Crockett, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Jackie Smith, John Michael Gibson, Terry Litteral, Terry Fannin, John Gibson, T.J. Payne, Nick Payne, and Tommy Payne.
