Darvin Gray Wells

Darvin Gray Wells of West Liberty, KY, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, KY, at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 14 days. He was born on Saturday, May 6, 1944, son of the late Matthew & Armelva Williams Wells.

Darvin was united in marriage to Norma Sue Stacy.  He was a retired machinist and was a devoted Christian who loved his Lord & Savior, and attended the Broadway Church of God as his health permitted.  He also had a great love for animals.  He was a loving brother & uncle, and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Matthew & Armelva Wells, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Norma Sue Wells; two brothers, Jimmy Wells & Stanley Wells; and one niece, Melissa Wells. 

Survivors include one sister, Betty Lykins of Ezel, KY; nephews, Tim Lykins (Juanita) and Kirby Lykins all of Ezel, KY; nieces, Dini Floyd of Kitts Hill, OH and Karen Bailey (Tim) of Morehead, KY; his niece by marriage and his dedicated caregivers, Vicki Wallace & Cliff Swierk of Sullivan, IL; sister-in-law, Fonda Wells of West Liberty, KY; one half sister, Janice Combs Brown of Gatesville, TX; several great nieces and nephews; and his cats and fur babies whom he loved dearly, Cricket, Fluffy, Baby, & Boo Boo.

Graveside service 4 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at the South Fork Cemetery, Malone, KY, with Bro. Hunter Fraley officiating with burial to follow.  Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers: Tim Lykins, Cliff Swierk, Gary Havens, Glenn Jones, Ralphie Barker, Scott Pennington, & Wes Pennington.
