Daniel Chester Gladden

Daniel Chester Gladden of West Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Waters of Johnson City, Johnson City, TN, at the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 30 days.  He was born Saturday, June 21, 1946 at Mansfield, OH, son of the late Ivan Gladden & Wilma Gladden Schmidt.

Daniel was united in marriage to Barbara Joyce Parsons.  This union was blessed with three children, Timothy, Deborah, and Cindy.  Daniel was a US Navy Veteran, retiring after 21 years of service to his country.  He later worked in machinery maintenance for over 20 years.  He was of the Catholic faith and was as a loving father, grandfather, and brother.  He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.      

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Joyce Parsons Gladden; one daughter, Cindy Scott; and two grandchildren, Brandon Scott and Alisha Barnette.

He is survived by two children, Deborah & Clark Ferrell of Kingsport, TN and Timothy Gladden & Bree McGatha of Dayton, OH; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and two brothers, Doug Gladden of Mansfield, OH and Tom Gladden of Olive Hill, KY.  

Graveside service 3 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Gladden Cemetery, Kellacey Road, West Liberty, KY, with Rev. Bob Stilson officiating, with burial to follow.  Morgan County DAV conducting military rites.  Visitation 2 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Gladden Cemetery. 

COVID-19 regulations will be followed.
