Curtis “Elvin” Clevenger of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 19 days. He was born Saturday, December 1, 1934 at Devils Fork, KY, son of the late Virgil & Nettie Mays Clevenger.
Elvin was united in marriage to Marlene Collins. This union was blessed with a daughter, Lisa. Elvin was a retired painter & carpenter, a Christian and member of the Index Community Church. He enjoyed his family and fishing with his buddies. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Collins Clevenger in 2010 and three brothers, Hassan Clevenger, Garlie Clevenger, and Ovland D. Clevenger.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Tommy Fannin of West Liberty, KY; two grandsons, Tyler Fannin of West Liberty, KY and Andrew & Kelsey Fannin of Nashville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Frisby officiating. Burial to follow in the Perry Cemetery, Blairs Mill, KY. Visitation from 5 – 8 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Home.
