Charlotte Jean (Elam) Dyer

Charlotte Jean Elam Dyer of West Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at her residence, at the age of 71 years, 1month, & 3 days.  She was born Monday, August 16, 1954, at West Liberty, KY, daughter of Victor & Venus Barker Elam.

Charlotte was full of life.  She loved her family and her faith in the Lord.  She retired from Morgan County ARH after 36 years of service working as a Nurse Aide, Housekeeping, and Stores Clerk.  After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Peebo, Bella, and Winnie.  She was a Christian and attended Grassy Lick Enterprise Baptist Church.           

Charlotte was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John & Ester Barker; paternal grandparents, Ben & Cora Elam; her parents, Victor & Venus Elam; two sisters, Betty Poe & Marie Peyton; and one brother, Victor Charles Elam.

She is survived by one sister, Kathy Sue Kidd (Ralph) of Mize, KY; brother-in-law, Roy Poe of West Liberty, KY; her former husband & friend, Danny Dyer of Hazel Green, KY; special friends & caretakers, Pamela Elam & Tina Elam; and several nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Charlotte will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside service 1 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the Grassy Lick Cemetery, with Bro. Ronnie Poe officiating, with burial to follow.  Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
