Charles Gordon Frye of Martin, KY, passed away at his residence, on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 67 years, 4 months, and 7 days. He was born Friday, December 25, 1953, at Martin, KY, son of the late Ralph Vernon & Jacqueline Music Frye.
Charles loved to play music and loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was a drummer throughout his life, as he started playing the drums while in grade school. The Beatles was his favorite band. He played music with many bands in the community. Everyone that knew him always said he was one of the best drummers they ever heard. He was retired from Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, where he worked in the Lab.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Vernon Frye & Jacqueline Music Frye.
He is survived by one son, Aaron Frye & his fiancee, Savannah Salisbury of Martin, KY; four grandchildren, Salem, Piper, Lila, and Fox; one aunt, Gwen Music Salyers of Columbus, OH; two uncles, Clarence Music of Paintsville, KY and James Paul Music of Dayton, OH; special friend, Sandra Gearheart of Garrett, KY; and a host of cousins.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, KY. Arrangements by Potter Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
