Carol Sue Stevens Cassity of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at UK St. Claire, Morehead, KY, at the age of 65 years, 11 months, & 11 days. She was born Saturday, February 21, 1959, in West Liberty, KY, daughter of John Henry & Naomi Hull Stevens.
Carol was united in marriage to Ray Cassity, this union was blessed with one son, Matthew Hal. Carol was a retired Kitchen Supervisor at EKCC and was of the Christian Faith. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry & Naomi Stevens; three brothers, John David Stevens, Johnny Ray Stevens, & Dennis Stevens; half-brother, Jeff Parsons; and 2 half-sisters, Gail Parsons & Lisa Stevens.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ray Cassity; one son, Matthew Hal Cassity (Shelly) of West Liberty, KY; two grandchildren, Ethan Cassity and Mason Cassity; two sisters, Sherry Stevens Campbell of West Liberty, KY and Diane Stevens of Sandy Hook, KY; 2 half-sisters, Carla Parsons of Ohio and Amy Adkins of Sandy Hook, KY; and one sister-in-law, Viola Stevens of Flatwoods, KY.
Funeral service, 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home, with Pastor Josh Sloas officiating. Burial to follow in the Cassity Cemetery, Blaze, KY. Visitation from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Tuesday February 4, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Stanley Young, Carl Cassity, William Cassity, Tanner McGuire, Phillip DeHaven, and Anthony Stevens.
