Bural (Buck) Lemaster of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at his residence, at the age of 93 years, 1 month, and 22 days. He was born Thursday, June 9, 1927 at Whitehouse, KY, son of the late James and Pearl Osborn Lemaster.
He retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad, and from farming and cattle raising. He accepted Christ as his Savior late in his life and was baptized into the Hope Valley Mennonite Church on August 11, 2019, where he was a faithful member at the time of his death. Buck was an inspiration to those who witnessed the change in his life, a testimony to God’s grace.
A thank you to those who took time to visit, cheer, share a scripture, or prayer with Buck as his health declined, and a special thank you to Eugene Campbell for his care and help.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Jane (Workman) (Jenkins) Lemaster; a son, Jeffery Lemaster, a daughter, Betty Lemaster, a stepson Jon Jenkins; a brother, Oscar Lemaster; and two sisters, Grace Rowe and Edith Copley.
He is survived by a grandson, John Aldridge of Bristol, VA; a step granddaughter, Crystal Prater and husband Brian, of West Liberty, KY.
Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 5, 2020 at Hope Valley Mennonite Church, Flatgap, KY with Bishop Joseph Showalter, Minister Sidney Senzenig, Minister Alvin Zimmerman and Deacon Walter Martin officiating. Burial will follow in th Greenlawn Cemetery, Louisa, KY. Visitation from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
