Brenda Sue (Reed) Lewis

Brenda Sue Reed Lewis of Sandy Hook, KY, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 16, 2022 at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, at the age of 59 years and 4 days.  She was born Thursday, September 12, 1963, at West Liberty, KY, daughter of Eunice Blanche Waddell Reed and the late Billy Gene Reed, Sr.

Brenda was united in marriage to James Kenneth Lewis.  This union was blessed with three daughters, Lillie Shavon, Samantha, and Sabra.  Brenda was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. 

She belonged to the Lick Fork Pentecostal Church where she loved to fellowship, praise, and seek the Lord with her brothers and sisters in Christ.  She was a beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.  She loved spending time with her family, and playing with her grandchildren made her very happy.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but she will forever rejoice with her loved ones who have gone before her.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Billy Gene Reed, Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Everett Roscoe Waddell & Lillie Elizabeth Stevens Waddell; her paternal grandparents, Charles Dewey Reed & Amy Ellen Oliver Reed.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James Kenneth Lewis; three daughters, Lillie Shavon Lewis, Samantha McDowell (Westley), and Sabra Adkins (Dustin) all of Sandy Hook, KY; five grandsons, James (Jaci), Andrew, Logan, Riley, and Brantley; four granddaughters, Mackenzie (Luke), Emily, Bailee, and Adalynn; two great granddaughter, Mia and Harlan; one great grandson, Lincoln and a great grandson on the way who will be named Leland; her mommy, Eunice Blanche Waddell Reed; three sisters, Bonnie Reed, Aletha Reed, and Amy Sparks (Danny); three brothers, Jeffery Reed, Billy Reed, Jr. (Jessica Holb rook), and Dewey Reed (Gina); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly. 

Funeral service 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Lick Fork Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Jonathan Sargent, Rev. Johnny Dagnan, and Rev. Phillip Ferguson officiating.  Burial to follow in the Waddell Cemetery, Hwy 504, Sandy Hook, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Lick Fork Pentecostal Church.  Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers: James Everett Middleton, Andrew Middleton, Logan Ison, Riley Ison, Brantley Gray, Tyler Skaggs, Mikey Skaggs, and Ayden Reed.
