Bonnie Lou Collins of West Liberty, KY, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 56 years, 11 months, and 27 days. She was born on Friday, August 5, 1966, daughter of the late Chester Nevon & Mary Kathryn Castle Lumpkins.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Herbert "Doug" Collins. This union was blessed with 2 children. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and home. She was a faithful Christian and attended the West Liberty Church of God. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends, and all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Jackie Lee Lumpkins (Julie), Karen Sue Whitt (Phillip), Mark Dwayne Lumpkins, and John Lloyd Lumpkins; and one sister-in-law, Connie Nurre.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert "Doug" Collins; two daughters, Caitlin Hounshell (Everett) and Kaci Collins all of West Liberty, KY; three grandchildren, Annie Jo Hounshell, Johnny Douglas Hounshell, and Marlee Kate Hounshell; brother and sisters, Linda Gail Haney (Junior) of Cannel City, KY, Michael Nevon Lumpkins (Debbie) of Morehead, KY, and Tina Marie Finch (Jeff) of Richmond, KY; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Service, 1 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2023 at the West Liberty Church of God, with Bro. Harry Flannery & Bro. Tim Elkins officiating. Burial to follow in the Chester Lumpkins Cemetery, West Liberty, KY. Visitation from 12 noon - 1 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2023 at the West Liberty Church of God. Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
