Bobby Neal Salyer

Bobby Neal Salyer of Wellington, KY, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 13 days. He was born Friday, August 11, 1939, in Salyersville, KY, son of the late Clyde Salyer & Molly Wireman Salyer Tate.

Bobby was united in marriage to Jean Cline. This union was blessed with two daughters, Sheila & Susan. Bobby was a retired vocational education teacher, teaching auto body and drafting. He was an avid woodworker, creating many beautiful pieces of furniture, enjoying the process from start to finish. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Salyer; his mother, Molly Wireman Salyer Tate; and his step father, Kenneth Tate.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean Cline Salyer; two daughters, Sheila Pauley (Robert) of Atlanta, GA and Susan LeMaster (Brad) of White Oak, KY; two grandchildren, Abby LeMaster and Tyler LeMaster (Holly); two great grandchildren, Sadie & Reagan; two brothers, Rick Salyer (Donna) and Jeff Salyer (Lori) all of Salyersville, KY; one sister, Jenny Howard (Kelly) of Salyersville, KY; his step mother, Anna Jo Salyer of Salyersville, KY; and his furry friend, Bub.

Funeral Service 12 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial to follow in the Cline Cemetery, White Oak, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Rick Salyer, Jeff Salyer, Brad LeMaster, Robert Pauley, Tracy Damron, Edsel Cline, Jack Cline, Jarrod Cline, Randy Cline, Tyler LeMaster; and John Salyer.
