Betty Sheryl (Benton) Howard

Betty Sheryl Howard of West Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 18 days.  She was born Thursday, August 2, 1951 at Cannel City, KY, daughter of the late Dalmas & Bradath Easterling Benton.

She was united in marriage to Coleman Howard.  This union was blessed with two sons, Heath Conway & David Austin.  Sheryl was a retired book-keeper for Lion Apparel.  She was also a Christian and a member of the Index Community Church.  Sheryl was a loving wife, mother, and sister, and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.     

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Heath Conway Howard; and four brothers, Ralph, Dalmas, Shannon, and Lester Paris Benton.

She is survived by her husband, Coleman Howard; one son, David Austin Benton & Kelsie Silvestro of Bolivar, OH; two brothers, David Benton and Tony Benton both of West Liberty, KY; one sister, Brenda & Mike Haney of Cannel City, KY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Funeral service 11 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Index Community Church, with Rev. Mike Frisby officiating.  Burial to follow in the Morris Cemetery, Caney, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers:  David Austin Benton, Jacob Howell, Zackery Cantrell, and Alex Davis.
