Betty Lou Harper Arnett of Ocala, FL, formerly of White Oak, KY, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Ted & Diane Brandley House, Summerfield, FL, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, & 27 days. She was born Tuesday, November 15, 1949, in West Liberty, KY, daughter of Carl & Nora Minix Harper.
Betty was united in marriage to Grover Arnett. This union was blessed with two children, Melissa Ann & Matthew Lee. She was a retired dental assistant working for over 20 years at Dr. Larry Henderson’s office. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Nora Harper; her husband, Grover Arnett; her two children, Melissa Ann Arnett & Matthew Lee Arnett; 9 brothers & 5 sisters, Finley Harper, Bernice Williams, Hager Harper, Vincey Harper, Ransom Harper, Bonnie Collinsworth, Brondell Harper, Mayo Harper, Tressie McComb, Grover Harper, Jewell Dean Lennon, Carlos Harper, Harkless Harper, and Rhoda Turner.
Betty is survived by one sister, Charlotte Vance of South Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Randy & Debbie Arnett of Florida and Hank Arnett of Salyersville, KY; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service, 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Harry Frisby and Elder Paul Jarvis officiating. Burial to follow in the Harper – Oney Cemetery, Hwy 1081, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 1 - 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Potter Funeral Home.
