Bernice Marie (Litteral) Allen

Bernice Marie Litteral Allen of Campton,KY., formerly of West Liberty, KY passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at King’s Daughers Medical Center, Ashland, KY, at the age of 84 years, 10 months, and 18 days.  She was born Thursday, September 23, 1937, at White Oak, KY, daughter of the late Buford and Esther M. Johnson Litteral.

Bernice was united in marriage to Gene Allen.  This union was blessed with two sons, Steve and Sid.  Bernice was employee of Morgan County Fiscal Court where she served as secretary for several years.  She was a Christian and a member of the Index Community Church, a member of Morgan County ARH Auxiliary, and a member of Paulina Chapter #360 Order of Eastern Star.  She loved everyone and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Buford and Esther Litteral, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Allen, two brothers, Buford Harold Litteral, and Jim Litteral.

Bernice is survived by her two  sons, Steve and Tina Allen, Pikeville, KY, Sid Allen, Campton, KY, seven grandchildren, Sara and Brad Nickell, Justin and Kendra Kurkowski, Megan and Aaron Scott, Tosha and Brandon Boyd, Jarred Fannin, Gina and Dylan Adkins, Jemilyee Allen, seven great grandchildren, Ella Nickell, Hudson, Houston and Kruz Kurkowski, Aubrey Scott, Barren Boyd, Dallas Adkins, Sister-in-law, Lena Litteral, former daughter-in-law, Londa Allen both of West Liberty, KY, special  niece and nephew, Paula Jordan, and Todd and Kristi Litteral, several cousins and her Very Special Caregiver, Kim Nickell, West Liberty, KY.

Funeral Service 11:00 am Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Mike Frisby and Bro Todd Litteral officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY.  Visitation after 6:00 pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Keith Allen, Danny Nickell, Brad Nickell, Dylan Adkins, Dalton Mays, Dalton Adkins, Todd Litteral, and Ben Montgomery.
