Berl Wilson

Berl Wilson of West Liberty, KY, passed away, Friday, October 14, 2022 at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, KY, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 7 days.  He was born Thursday, November 7, 1940, at Wrigley, KY, son of the late Cecil & Virgie Kidd Wilson.

Berl was united in marriage to Brenda Smith.  He was a retired Construction Superintendent.  He was a Christian and a member of the Lick Fork Pentecostal Church.  Berl loved classic cars, racing, and his family.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Merci Wilson; eight brothers & sisters, Ruthie Phipps, Helen Warne, Cobern Wilson, Junior Wilson, Ralph Wilson, Glen Wilson, Terry Wilson, and Ora Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Sue Wilson and Patty Wilson; and two brothers-in-law, Randy Joe Dickerson and Everett Dagnan.

Berl is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Smith Wilson; seven children, Jerry (Carol) Wilson, Jeff (Michelle) Wilson, Brian (Heather) Wilson, Jody (April) Wilson, Brandon (Whitney) Wilson, David Wilson, and Shawna Duvall; fourteen grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Jacob, Elizabeth, Jordan, Josie, Kaitlyn, Kaleb, Jase, Connor, Clay, and Benjamin; four great grandchildren, Melody, Kaiden, Riley, and Nolan; eight siblings, Stanley (Elvona) Wilson, Gail (Mark) Umberger, Lois Dickerson, Jimmy (Lollie) Wilson, Randy (Sherry) Wilson, Debbie (Bruce) Bennett, Darlene (Gene) Swagger, and Jeanie Allen; sister-in-law, Pam Wilson; brother-in-law, Donald Phipps; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service 1 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Dagnan officiating.  Burial to follow in the Smith Cemetery, Hwy 7, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation 12 - 1 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2022 at the funeral home.
