Barbara Spradlin of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her residence, at the age of 86 years, 6 months, and 24 days. She was born Saturday, February 10, 1934 at Goose Creek, KY, daughter of the late Bruce & Pearlie Litteral Adams.
Barbara was united in marriage to Benny Spradlin. This union was blessed with three children, Pamela, Gregory, and Cyndi. She was a retired cosmetologist and owned & operated Spradlin’s Beauty Shop in West Liberty. She was a Christian and member of the West Liberty Christian Church and a former member of the Paulina Chapter #360 OES. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Spradlin; two children, Gregory Spradlin and Cyndi Spradlin; three sisters, Gertrude Prater, Pauline Prater, and Geraldine Conley; and two brothers, Harmon Green Adams and Cecil Adams.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela & Steve Burton of West Liberty, KY; five grandchildren, Heather Helm & Daniel, Chris Spradlin all of Lexington, KY, Brian Colby Spradlin & Tiffany of Morehead, KY, Lindsay Burton of West Liberty, KY, and Lauren Staton & Justin of Owingsville, KY; eight great grandchildren, Audrey Helm, Ben Helm, Chase Spradlin, Elena Spradlin, Brock Spradlin, Jaxon Spradlin, Logan Olivia Burton, and Landon Staton; one brother, Jack Adams & Peggy of Oil Springs, KY; and sister-in-law, Mary Sue Adams.
Funeral service 2 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Hunter Fraley officiating. Burial to follow in the Adams Cemetery, Goose Creek, KY. Visitation from 12 – 2 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Home.
COVID-19 regulations will be followed. Pallbearers: Colby Spradlin, Chris Spradlin, Daniel Helm, Justin Staton, Chase Spradlin, Dennis Prater, Jimmy Adams, and Phillip Adams.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jamie Barker, Mike Davis, and Gary Spradlin.
