Artie Karen Brown-Ellis

Artie Karen Brown-Ellis of West Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 72 years, 7 months, & 3 days.  She was born Sunday, December 30, 1951 at West Liberty, KY, daughter of Arnold & Sara Oney Brown.

Artie was a former Social Worker working in Morgan & Rowan Counties.  She was a Christian and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, & aunt, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold & Sara Brown and one brother, Addison Brown.

She is survived by three children, Jaime Ellis (Angel Gonzalez) of Alexandria, VA, Brent Ellis & Blake Ellis both of West Liberty, KY; four grandchildren, Taren Ellis, Bryan Beltran, Zoe Ellis, & Jemma Ellis; three brothers & one sister, Lauriston Brown of Lafayette, LA, Donna Jackson (Larry) of Madison, AL, Barrington Brown (Linda) of Columbia, TN, and Jeff Brown (Laurie) of Luckey, OH; sister-in-law, Zana Brown of Ohio; and several nieces & nephews.
