Annelies (Kristen) Evans

Annelies Kristen Evans of West Liberty, KY passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at her son’s residence in Georgetown, KY, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 11 days. She was born on Friday, October 29, 1943 at Sandhubel, Germany, daughter of the late Johann & Martha Garner Kristen. 

Annelies was united in marriage to Carter Dee Evans.  This union was blessed with three children, Sandra, Kristopher Dee, and Walter Darris.  She was a retired lunchroom cook for Morgan County High School.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 In addition to her parents, Johann & Martha Kristen, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Dee Evans; three brothers, Johann Kristen, Trude Kristen, and Herbert Kristen; and one sister, Gretel Kristen.

 Survivors include three children, Sandra Parker of Erlanger, KY, Kristopher Dee Evans (April) of Georgetown, KY, and Walter Darris Evans (Carolyn) of Richmond, KY; five grandchildren, Garrett Parker, Andrew Parker, Taylor Barton, Tyler Barton, & Austin Patterson; three great grandchildren, Onyx Parker, Korah Barton, & Chloe Patterson; her sister, Martha Seidel (Klaus) of Merklingen, Germany; four sisters-in-law, Renate Kristen of Merklingen, Germany, Deloris Goldey of Midway, KY, Mary Sue Noe (Ed) of Lebanon, OH, & Totsy Evans of West Liberty, KY; nephew, Uwe Kristen of New York; great nephew Johann Kristen; and a host of nieces & nephews. 

Funeral Service 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Frisby officiating.  Burial to follow in the Evans Cemetery, Havens Branch Road, Malone, KY.  Visitation from 12 - 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers:  Kristopher Dee Evans, Walter Darris Evans, Garrett Parker, Andrew Parker, Tyler Barton, Austin Patterson, and Jesse Merritt.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Morgan County Animal Shelter.
