Anna Gail (Henry) Gevedon

Anna Gail Henry Gevedon of Grassy Creek, KY, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 24 days. She was born Saturday, November 2, 1940, at Woodsbend, KY, daughter of the late Curtis & Bernice Blair Henry.

Anna Gail was united in marriage to Billy Don Gevedon. This union was blessed with three children, Chad, Bradley, and Billi Nell. Anna Gail was a retired elementary school teacher, teaching 7th grade at Ezel Elementary for several years, and then later taught homebound students in Morgan County. She was a Christian and a member of the Woodsbend Community Church. Anna Gail also sang in a group with her sisters, called the Henry Sisters. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and making candy, and was well known for her delicious homemade cinnamon rolls and fried apple pies. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Curtis & Bernice Henry, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Don Gevedon; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, H.C. & Olivet Gevedon.

Anna Gail is survived by her three children, Chad Henry Gevedon (Sierra) of Morehead, KY, Bradley Curtis Gevedon (Danielle) of Grassy Creek, KY, and Billi Nell Gevedon Prater (Jeff) of West Liberty, KY; five grandchildren, Wade Austin Gevedon Prater, Shelby Don Gevedon, Malea Gevedon, Alayna Trent, and Garett Trent; three sisters, Nellie Kay Johnson of Woodsbend, KY, Sharon Benton (Roger) and Cheryl Bellamy (George) all of West Liberty, KY; three brothers-in-law, Ronnie Gevedon (Janice) of Crab Orchid, KY, Kenny Gevedon (Erma), and Curtis Gevedon all of Grassy Creek, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Gevedon officiating. Burial to follow in the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY. Visitation from 12 - 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
