Anita Carol Carpenter Wheeler of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at her residence, at the age of 68 years & 29 days. She was born Friday, March 2, 1956 at Ypsilanti, MI, daughter of Carta & Lula Perry Carpenter.
Anita was a retired secretary for the Woodsbend Youth Development Center. She was a Christian and a member of the Woodsbend Community Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Paulina Chapter #360. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carta & Lula Perry Carpenter.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan Wheeler; two daughters, Carol Sue Robinson (John) and Becky Goble (David) all of West Liberty, KY; three grandchildren, Courtney Bolin (Nathaniel) of West Liberty, KY, Brandon LeMaster, and Logan Goble; four great grandchildren, Wyatt, Wade, Karlee, and Laci; one sister, Pam Carpenter Ruth of West Liberty, KY; and one brother, Kenny Ruth (Brenda) of Missouri; three special nieces, Kristi Trusty (Chris), Kimberly Hampton (Jerry), and Kennedy Trusty all of West Liberty, KY; and her special friends, Henerietta McKinney, Tony Adkins, and Sam Long.
Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Jason Moore & Bro. Jerry Fugate officiating. Burial to follow in the Coffey-Sheets Cemetery, Hwy 705, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the funeral home, with Eastern Star Services at 7 p.m., conducted by OES Paulina Chapter #360.
Pallbearers: Chris Trusty, Jerry Hampton, Logan Goble, Nathaniel Bolin, John Robinson, and John Wheeler.
Honorary Pallbearers: Wyatt, Wade, Kenny Ruth, Dawson Hampton, Grayson Hampton, and Parker Trusty.
