Roy Clifford Hamilton

Roy Clifford Hamilton of Hazel Green, KY, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at his residence, at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 28 days. He was born Sunday, May 27, 1934 at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Benjamin Franklin & Willa Lou Vest Hamilton.

Roy was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Army from 1956 - 1958. He attended Bethany, Pine Grove, and Index Community Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Taylor Hamilton and one niece, Renee Sorenson.

Roy is survived by one daughter & son-in-law, Shana & Chris Lindon of Cannel City, KY; one son, Nathan Frederick of Morehead, KY; one granddaughter, Brooklyn Frederick; one brother & sister-in-law, Eugene & Phyllis Hamilton of Lexington, KY; one nephew, Anthony & Megan Hamilton; and two great nephews and one great niece, Ian Hamilton, Parker Sorenson, and Mackenzie Sorenson.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Rick Pelfrey and Bro. Aaron Brooks officiating. Burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY, with Morgan County DAV Chapter 132 to conduct military rites . Visitation 6 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Chris Lindon, Nathan Frederick, Cecil "Chico" Jones, Gary Havens, Lowell Manning, Phillip Phipps, Ricky Pieratt, and Ollie Riggsby.
