Minnie Marie Lewis

Minnie Marie Lewis of Hazel Green, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 24 days. She was born on Friday, January 25, 1924 in Floyd County, KY, a daughter born to the late Alfred and Emma Lewis. Minnie was united in marriage to Bascom Lewis. To this union, nine children were born. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her children and her home. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bascom Lewis on March 18, 1968; one son, William Reo Lewis; one grandson, Roger Lee Frisby; a special son-in-law, Kenneth Monroe; three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by eight children, Albert Lewis of Fl; Zella Lewis Monroe of Lawrenceburg, KY; Larry Lewis and wife Nancy K. of Mize, KY; Charles Lewis and wife Nancy Ann of West Liberty, KY; Joe Lewis and wife Charlotte of Malone, KY; Patricia Ratliff and husband Bobby of Buskirk, KY; Leona Miller and husband J.C. and Alice Robinson and husband Mike all of Wolfe County, KY; twenty grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Jimmy Adkins and Bro. Jim Smith officiating. Burial in the Lewis Family Cemetery, Banner, KY. Visitation 6:00 p.m., Friday March 24, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Bobby Phipps, Roger Benton, Greg Phipps, Donnie Lykins, Kennel Lewis, Jeff Lewis, James Brooks, Roger Nickell.
