Michael Oney Obituary

Michael Lynn Oney of Salyersville, KY, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2006, at the Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY at the age of 61 years, 4 months, and 19 days. He was born on Monday, December 18, 1944 at Harper, KY, a son born to Juanita Collinsworth Oney and the late William Stanley Oney. Michael was a retired meat cutter for Kroger. He was a free spirit and enjoyed the outdoors. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Diana Brun. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Oney of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Ralph Oney of Dayton, OH, and Rodney Oney of Oxford, OH; one sister, Shelia Oney of Dayton, OH; nieces and nephews, Leesa Smith, Andrea and Andrew Ogg, Patrick Oney, and Jessica Smith; and his dog and faithful friend, Gus. Funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2006, at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Joseph Oney Cemetery, Magoffin County, KY. Visitation, 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the Potter Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Andy Arnett, Rubin Arnett, John Perkins, Andrew Ogg, Patrick Oney, and Danny Helton.
