Ethel Marie (Muncie) Turner

Ethel Marie Muncie Turner of West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the West Liberty Nursing & Rehab Center, West Liberty, KY, at the age of 96 years, 6 months, and 23 days.  She was born Wednesday, April 18, 1923 at Kellacey, KY, daughter of the late Bruce & Susie Cox Muncie.

Ethel was united in marriage to Kenneth Turner.  This union was blessed with four children, James Darrell, Garry, Sue, and Denise.  She was retired from the Morgan County Board of Education, she was a Christian and a member of the West Liberty Christian Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, and she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Turner; one infant son, James Darrell Turner; five brothers, Chester Muncie, Ova Muncie, Edgell Muncie, Winford Muncie, and Russell Dee Muncie; and three sisters, Opal Goodpaster, Rose Fugate, and Betty Walsh.

She is survived by three children, Garry Turner & Diana, Sue Turner Terrell & Scott all of West Liberty, KY, and Denise Turner Motley & Bobby of Mize, KY; six grandchildren, Gari Lynn Rossi, Jeff Turner & Paige, Chris Terrell & Stanya, Loralea Clark & Matt, Maria Motley, and Maci Frisby & Josh; three great grandchildren, Brayden Rossi, Connor Salyer, and Noah Salyer; two brothers, Eugene Muncie of Ft. Wayne, IN and Jerry Muncie of Ft. Smith, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Hunter Fraley & Stanley Franklin officiating.  Burial to follow in the Salyer Cemetery, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers:  Josh Frisby, Matt Clark, Jeff Turner, Glennis Goodpaster, Lee Armstrong, and Hunter Fraley.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Chris Terrell and Stanley Franklin.
