"View Memorial Video" Deward Clay Dennis, Jr., 74, of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY. He was born 2-2-1932, in Morgan County, KY, son of Ida Patton Dennis and the late Deward Clay Dennis, Sr. He was a member of White Oak Christian Church, a Korean War Veteran U S Army, member of Highland Masonic Lodge #311, and the West Liberty Lions Club where he had served a president, and retired from Dept. of State Highway as Maintenance Engineer. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, Randall Clay and Steven Dale Dennis. Survivors include his wife, Louise Dennis of West Liberty; one son, Craig Dennis and wife Amanda of Morehead; 2 granddaughters, Katie and Madison Dennis; his mother, Ida P. Dennis of West Liberty; one sister, Betty Jo Bryant and husband Jim of Los Angles, CA; and 2 nieces. Funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jimmy Adkins and Bro. Keith McAliley officating. Burial to follow in the Patton Cemetery, Gordon Ford Road, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Potter Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Hank Allen, Brock Litteral, John West, Tommy Steele, Phil Spillman, Randy Williams, James Sargent, & George Weddington. Honorary Pallbearers: Jimmy Perry, Halcom Marshall, Fred Denny, Randall Williams, Stanley Franklin, Stanley Johnson, Alton Pelfrey, Walter Brown, & Howard Elam. Memorials suggested to Morgan Co.
