Rev. Carl Roller of Ocala, FL, formerly of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala, FL, at the age of 96 years and 10 months. He was born Friday, December 1, 1922 at Gravel Switch, KY, son of the late Joe & Netty Willard Roller.
He was united in marriage to Anna Casebolt Arnett. Carl was a WW II veteran in the U.S. Navy. He was a Christian and a Minister. Throughout his life he pastored several churches, and the last church he pastored was Old Grassy Christian Church, Mize, KY where he served for over 15 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Roller and Grover Arnett; three grandchildren, Amanda Roller, Melissa Arnett, and Matthew Arnett; and one sister, Louise Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Roller; five children, Don & Roberta Roller of Sandy Hook, KY, David & Jenny Roller of Martinsburg, IN, Janet & Marvin Thompson of Maxwell, FL, Randall & Debbie Arnett of Ocala, FL, and Hank Arnett of Salyersville, KY; one daughter-in-law, Betty Arnett of Ocala, FL; twenty one grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four nieces whom he thought of as his daughters, Janet Hutchinson, Janie Prince, and Jo Jarvis, Agnes Taylor Singleton; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeff Fannin & Bro. Jerry Lanham officiating. Burial to follow in the West Liberty Memorial Gardens, with Morgan County DAV Chapter 132 to conduct military rites. Visitation 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the funeral home.
