Lena Litteral Griffitts of West Liberty, KY, departed this life Friday, February 20, 2009, at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY. She was born Thursday, January 19, 1928 in White Oak, KY, to the late Sam and Bertie Helton Litteral.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Griffitts. This union was blessed with four children, Peggy, Glenda, Michael, and Alicia. She was a retired secretary. She was a faithful Christian and a member of the White Oak Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Raymond Griffitts; two daughters, Peggy Griffitts, and Glenda Griffitts Vest; and two brothers, Gerald Litteral and Charles Winsor Litteral.

She is survived by two children, Michael Griffitts and wife Jackie of West Liberty, KY and Alicia Griffitts McClurg and husband Tom of Morehead, KY; a special son, Matt Laughter and wife Amy of Bowling Green, KY; twelve grandchildren, Matthew Vest and wife Lara, David Vest, Adam Vest, Seth Griffitts and wife Wendy, Brittany Bookout and husband Tim, Rachel Craft, Jordan Craft, Amber Craft, Jason McClurg, Jessica McClurg, Nora Laughter, and Jonas Laughter; one great granddaughter, Annabelle Griffitts; three brothers and three sisters, George Litteral, Richard Litteral and wife Edra, Phyllis Brooks and husband James, Robert Litteral, Helen Wells and husband Mike, and Sharia Litteral Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2009 at the White Oak Christian Church, with Rev. Keith McAliley and Rev. Randy Ozan officiating. Burial to follow in the Lacy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery, Lacy Creek, KY. Visitation after 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the Potter Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Matthew Vest, Seth Griffitts, David Vest, Adam Vest, Jordan Craft, Jason McClurg, Matt Laughter, Tim Bookout, Chad Brooks, Scott Wells, David Wells, Gearald Litteral and Timothy Litteral.
